HMC Hardware Management Consoles
IBM HMC Hardware Management Consoles are hardware appliances used to manage and control IBM Power system resources, services, virtualization features and order temporary and permanent Capacity Upgrade on Demand. A IBM HMC can manage multiple physical or logic (over a LAN) attached partitions and different Power Systems generations and OS400 Versions simultaneously. A IBM HMC can consolidate the management of all Power systems and LPARs in a company’s infrastructure that is supported by HMC code. HMC code supports different Power system models, and every 7063 and 7042 HMC model supports specific code versions. Compare the IBM HMC model's specifications, features and HCM Code support on our IBM Hardware Management Consoles blog post.
